Troubleshooting the Software Upload Process
This section provides information to troubleshoot when the software upload process has failed.
Power or Communications Loss
If the power or communications is lost during the upload process, there will be no response from the
card. It is recommended to perform the following:
1. Verify the card is powered on.
2. Verify communications by re-starting the upload process.
3. If the upload process still fails, re-boot the card and re-start the upload process again.
Messages in the Upload Failed Dialog
You may receive a message in the Upload failed dialog that indicates the reason for the failure.
Selected file does not exist — Click OK and re-start the upload process.
Selected file is not a valid upload file — Click OK and re-start the upload process.
Selected file is rejected by the card — Verify that you are uploading the software to the
correct card. For example, you will receive this message when attempting to upload FSR-6601
software to a SRA-8601A card.
No response from device — The upload failed while in progress due to a loss of power or
communications. Refer to the section “Power or Communications Loss”.
Recovering from a failed upload — To recover from a failed upload:
o
Re-boot the card by clicking Reboot in the Device tab;
o
Wait for the card to boot up; then,
o
Re-start the file upload process.
