Turning on the Printer and Initial Ink Filling

Press the power key.
When the printer is turned on, initial ink filling starts. It takes about 15 minutes to
finish the initial ink filling.
When the Status LED (green) is blinking, the printer is performing the initial ink
filling. Observe the following precautions during ink filling:
•
Do not turn off the printer.
•
Do not open/close the ink tank cover or the transport unit lever.
•
Do not operate other controls and components of the printer.
If the above precautions are not followed, initial ink filling may have to be
performed again. In such a case, turn off the printer and turn it on again. Initial ink
filling will start again.
Installing Media for the First Time

Ensure the Power LED is lit. If the printer power is off, press the Power key to turn
it on.

Raise the transport unit lever.
