Summary of DaqBook/2005 and DaqOEM/2005 Channels
DaqBook/2005 is a high-speed, multi-function, data acquisition module. DaqOEM/2005 is a board with
the same functionality, but no chassis. Both devices feature a 16-bit, 200-kHz A/D converter, digital
calibra-tion, 40 digital I/O lines, four counters, and two timers. Both connect to a PC or Ethernet network
via a 10/100BaseT Ethernet port.
DaqBook/2005 and DaqOEM/2005 are identical to the DaqBook/2001 and DaqOEM/2001 previously
described, with one exception: the /2005 devices have no analog output capability.

Note: DaqBook/2020’s Digital I/O is via the three 8-bit ports on
P2. The device has no P3 connector. For this reason it has
24 Digital I/O channels available, not 40 as do the other
devices.
Note: In addition to the BNC connectors indicated above, the DaqBook/2020 includes a BNC for
External TTL Trigger input and one for External Clock input.
Summary of DaqBook/2020 Channels
DaqBook/2020 is a high-speed, multi-function, data acquisition module. It features a 16-bit, 200-kHz A/D
converter, digital calibration, four 16-bit, 100-kHz D/A converters, 24 digital I/O lines, four counters, and
two timers. It connects to a PC or Ethernet network via a 10/100BaseT Ethernet port.
Up to 470 channels of analog and digital I/O can be accessed with one DaqBook/2020. Up to 896
thermocouple channels can be accessed with the use of DBK90 and DBK100 expansion modules.
P1, P2, and BNC connectors provide access to all I/O signals. Port descriptions follow:
•
P1 – Analog input port for14 single-ended analog inputs with 13 software programmable ranges
(±10 V to ±156 mV full scale).
•
P2 – General purpose digital I/O port with 24 lines, or digital I/O expansion port controlling
up to 256 external lines.
•
BNCs – DaqBook/2020 provides connection for 16 differential voltage inputs via BNC
connectors. In addition, BNC connectors are present for: 4 Counter Inputs, two Timer Outputs,
one External TTL Trigger Input, and one External Clock Input.
•
Mini-TC Connectors – DaqBook/2020 provides connection for 14 thermocouple inputs via
mini-TC connectors.
