Important Safety Points
ITW Linx surge protectors and the connected equipment must be indoors in a dry location and in
the same building. Although your protector is durable, its internal components are not isolated from
the environment. Do not install any product near any heat-emitting appliances, such as a radiator or
heat register. Do not install this product where excessive moisture is present.
*ATTENTION*
To ensure proper protection, the SurgeGate module MUST BE CONNECTED TO EARTH
GROUND. There cannot be any exceptions. A minimum #14 green insulated copper wire,
with a ring terminal at each end, should be used. Route the wire as directly as possible. Do
not make any other connections to the ground terminal of the module.
