ANSI test loop test
ANSI S3.22 requires that the gain control be set to RTP (1996) or RTS (2003) before running this test. The
reference test gain (RTG) is required in order to calculate the STS (1996) or RTLS (2003). The easiest way to
meet both requirements is to run a [Linear] or [AGC] test before running this test. See ANSI 1996 Linear and
AGC tests; ANSI 2003 Linear and AGC tests
1. First, complete an ANSI [Linear] or [AGC] test.
2. Press , then highlight and [Test box measures]
3. Highlight and [Telecoil].
4. Set the aid to ‘T’ (telecoil input).
5. Highlight and [Start test loop test]. Setup instructions will be displayed.
6. Position the hearing instrument on the ‘T’ inscription on the test chamber floor vertically oriented as worn by
a seated individual as shown.
7. Without moving the hearing instrument, press to run the SPL in a vertical magnetic field
(SPLIV) curve or press to abort the test.
If an RTG has been previously obtained, the TLS or RTLS will be shown.
