PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
To prepare the instrument for operation, it is necessary only to connect
the relevant microphone and preamplifier and install batteries.
5.1
Installing The Microphone
Warning !
Do not fit the microphone or preamplifier to the in-
struments with power ON.
DO NOT USE PLIERS OR OTHER TOOLS.
Remember that the microphone is a delicate item;
handle it with care making sure not to mistreat it.
CEL-268 - Standard Microphone CEL-192 & MK-301*
Proceed as follows.
1.
Ensure that the power is OFF.
2.
Locate the CEL-225/3 Preamplifier supplied into the keyway of
the socket at the tapered end of the instrument, then push the
preamplifier firmly into place.
4.
Either: Screw the CEL-192 Type 1 Microphone supplied with the
CEL-269 on to the preamplifier.
Or: Screw the MK-301 Microphone on to the A67 Adaptor sup-
plied with the microphone and then screw the adaptor on to the
preamplifier.
SCREW THE MICROPHONE ONLY FINGER TIGHT.
