Keyboard Wedge/USB Keyboard — cont.
Power-On Simulation
All PCs check the keyboard status during the power-on Selftest. It is rec-
ommended that you enable this function if you are working without a
keyboard installation. It simulates keyboard timing and passes the key-
board status to the PC during power-on.
Control Characters
Specifies how the imager transmits ASCII control characters to the host.
Choices are:
• Disable Control Characters
• Enable transmission of control characters to host
• Send characters between 00H and 1FH according to a special
function-key mapping table. (This is used to send keys that are not
in the normal ASCII set; a unique set is provided for each available
scancode set. Reference

NOTE
This feature does not apply to the USB Keyboard
interface.
