RECORDING FROM THE RADIO
Recording is done on the side facing the cassette hoider.
1 Insert a cassette.

2 Set the FUNCTION switch to RADIO.

3 Select a band.
4 Turn the TUNING control to tune in to a station.
5 Press the • REC button to start recording.
To stop recording
Press the B/^ STOP/EJECT button.
When the end of the tape is reached
The tape stops. To record on the other side, turn the cassette over and
press the • REC button again.
If a high-pitched sound is heard during recording from AM/
MW4 □
Set the FM MODE/OSC switch to the position that gives iess noise.
Usabie tapes
Use normal (type I) tapes for recording. If you use metal (type IV) or
chrome (type II) tapes, sound that has been already recorded may not
be erased completely.
• Do not set the FUNCTION switch to POWER OFF/TAPE or CD during
radio recording.
• You cannot listen to a cassette or a compact disc during radio
recording.
• If the erasure prevention tab is broken off, the • REC button cannot
be depressed.
• The output voiume and tone have no effect on recording even if they
are adjusted.
To erase the recording
1 Set the FUNCTION switch to POWER OFF/TAPE.
2 Insert a cassette with the side to be erased facing you.
3 Press the • REC button to start erasing.
