90-EP) weight transmission oil until the level is correct.
4. Replace both the filler and the check plugs.

BE USED IN THE DIFFERENTIAL. IF IMPROPER
OIL IS USED IN EITHER RESERVOIR, SERIOUS
DAMAGE COULD OCCUR.
TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL (hydrostatic models)
Check hydrostatic oil level using the following procedure:
1. Place tractor on a level surface.
2. Raise the rear deck and remove the oil filler cap shown in
Figure 46.

CAP. DO NOT ALLOW ANY DIRT OR FOREIGN
MATERIAL

3. Check oil level. The expansion reservoir should be 'A full
at ambient temperature. If required, add type A trans
mission fluid UNTIL THE RESERVOIR IS % FULL.

CAUTION: If overfilled, the oil will expend during
operation and may leak out around the filler cap.
If oil cannot be seen in the expansion reservoir, it will be
necessary to fill the reservoir to the proper level and bleed
(remove air) from the transmission. See Owner's manual for
this procedure.

DIFFERENTIAL OIL LEVEL (hydrostatic models)
Check the differential oil level on hydrostatic tractors using
the following procedure:
1. Place tractor on a level surface.
2. Remove the oil level and filler plug from the rear of the
transmission. Figure 47.
3. Oil should reach the level and filler plug hole. If it does
not, add Ariens Premium Gear Lube MP-90 (SAE 90-^EL
until the proper level is reached.
