SECTION 5. LEARN THE STITCHES

Use this stitch to join two pieces of fabric to

create an open work appearance and add
design interest.

Here’s How

Fold under each fabric edge 1/2" and

press.

Pin the two edges to paper or tearaway
backing 1/8" apart.

Sew slowly, guiding the fabric so the
needle catches the folded edge on each

side.

Helpful Hint

You may want to set the stitch width on
"7.0" for maxinrtum effect
