SECTION 5. LEARN THE STITCHES
Pintucking
Pin tucks are narrow tucks spaced close
together to add design interest on such items
as blouses and pHlowcases. Onepintuck can
form a permanent front crease on knit pants.
1. Attach the blind hem stitch foot.
2. Place the folded fabric under the presserfoot.
3. Position the needle 1 /16" inside from the folded edge and lower the presser foot.
4. Adjust the sliding guide on the blind hem foot to the folded edge by turning the guide screw, as
shown.
6. Feed the folded edge smoothly against the sliding guide.
NOTE: if the fabric tends to pucker, hold the material slightfy taut while sewing. Also, decrease
the upper tension slightly.
