UMIDIFYING THE
I
NCUBATOR
Filling the humidity tray with distilled water and placing it on the heated incubator floor will raise the
humidity level of the chamber to approximately 90
– 95% relative humidity.
Always use the antimicrobial copper token when humidifying the incubator to slow the
growth of microbiological populations in the tray.
Regularly clean and disinfect tray.
Refill as needed, and change the water in the tray at least once per week.
Use of chemical disinfectants added to the tray may alter the surface tension of the water.
This may significantly reduce the rate of evaporation and impact the humidity level of the
incubator chamber.
Never use deionized water.
Ensure that the unit is humidified when performing temperature adjustments and
calibrations.
