OTL - Data Panel (Left) and Control Panels
OTL - Data Panel
Over Temperature Limit Thermostat (OTL)
Labeled Set Over Temp Control, the OTL section of the panel is provided with a graduated dial.
The OTL system is an independent backup heating control. When set, it guards against the
chamber temperature rising more than 1°C above the main temperature control set point. Please
see the
description in the Theory of Operations (page 21).
OTL Light
Marked Over Temp, this red pilot light illuminates when the Over Temperature Limit system takes
control of the incubator by depowering the chamber heating elements. Under normal operating
conditions this pilot lamp should never turn on. Activation of the light may signal a significant fault
event.
Jacks and Ports
A USB-style serial port for capturing CO
2
and temperature data, and a dry contact jack for
outputting alarm activation instances are located on the OTL
– Data Panel. The panel is also
provided with a CO
2
section on page 38.
Main Control Panels
Power Switch
The round, black, main power switch controls all power to the incubator and its systems.
“I” is the
on position, and “O” the off.
