Calculating source dimensions:
The default width (W) and height (H) of a new configuration is 1920 x 1080 as shown in the example below:
The source’s width and height in pixels are equal to the size of the rendering surface based on the output mode used.
This is simple to calculate no matter what mode is used. Use the following guidelines:
+
All measurements are made in screen pixels.
+
Unless a Panoramic mode with portrait orientation is used, source height is always equal to the Fullscreen mode
height.
+
With a Single Output setup, the source width = Fullscreen mode width.
+
With a Dual Independent setup, the source width = Output 1’s Fullscreen mode width.
+
With a landscape Panoramic setup and no overlap, the source width = Fullscreen mode width x 2.
+
With a landscape Panoramic setup that uses overlap, the source width = Fullscreen mode width x 2. Due to the
overlap, the context X/Y origin may need to be adjusted to ensure the entire context is visible on screen.*
+
With a portrait Panoramic setup and no overlap, the source height = Fullscreen mode height x 2 (source width =
the Fullscreen mode width).
+
With a portrait Panoramic setup that uses overlap, the source height = Fullscreen mode height x 2 (source width =
the Fullscreen mode width). Due to the overlap, the context X/Y origin may need to be adjusted to ensure the
entire context is visible on screen.*
* It is not recommended to use pixel mapping with Panoramic modes if you have an overlap. If this is required, please
contact
for assistance.
