VOLUME
Turning on the Power
1
Press the [O] button.
Press the [O] button to enter the power stand-by
mode.
When you press any of the following buttons, the unit
turns on.
• Remote control ^“CD”, “TUNER”, “USB/iPad”,
“iPod”, “AUDIO IN/AUX”, “NETWORK”* * (*UD-NF7
only)
• button on the main unit: The unit turns on
and playback of the last function will start. (CD,
TUNER, USB, iPod, AUDIO IN, AUX, NETWORK*)
(*UD-NF7 only)
Setting the Network Standby (UD-
NF7 oniy)
The first time the unit is plugged in, the unit will enter
NETWORKSTANDBY.

Auto power on function is activated when the main
unit is set to Network Standby. (p.11)
To cancel NetworkStandby, press the [DIMMER/
NETWORK STANDBY] button (remote control)
during power standby mode. The unit will enter the
low power consumption mode.
To return to NetworkStandby, press the [DIMMER/
NETWORK STANDBY] button (remote control)
again.
When iPod or iPhone is connected to the iPod/
iPhone dock, battery charge starts and “Charge
Mode” is displayed. NETWORK STANDBY is
invalid during charge mode.
Volume up/down

Dial the [Volume Control]. Or, press the
[VOLUMEV/A] button on the remote control.
Volume auto fade-in

If you turn off and on the main unit with the volume set
to 27 or higher, the volume starts at 16. The volume
fades in to the last set level.
To mute the volume temporarjj^_^^

Press the [MUTE] button.
“MUTING” is flashed and the sound is muted
temporarily.
• Press again to restore the volume.
Bass (EX.BASS) adjustment_^^_^^

Press the [EX.BASS] button.
Current EX.BASS setup is displayed.
• When the power is turned on for the first time,
Bass mode is setto ON.
• Press the [EX.BASS] button to switch the Bass
mode to ON or OFF.
• “EX.BASS ON”/“EX.BASS OFF” will be
displayed.
Bass/Trebleadjustment

Press the [TONE] button to select “Bass”
(bass) or “Treble” (treble).

Within 5 seconds, press the [VOLUMEV/A]
button to adjust the bass/treble.
