1. When a call is received with the group code, the

squelches of all the members of the group are
opened to enable reception.

When you are called with the group code, the
common group code and its memory channel
number are displayed.
(Example: Group code 789 is stored in channel 3.)

2. When the PTT switch is pressed, group code 789 (as

displayed) and your station ID code are transmitted.

5-10-5 Code Lockout

(A code is locked out only during reception with the
paging function.)

If an individual code is stored in P1,P2 or P3, reception is

enabled when the codes match, even if one local
station communicates with another. To use memories

PI to P3 for transmission only, lock out the memories.

When you are communicating with two or more groups

having the same frequency, lock out the group code
with which stand by is temporarily stopped.

• Paging memory lockout

1. Enter the code setting mode and display the number

(except memory 0 and A) to be locked out using the
tuning control.

2. Press the MR/M key.
