This is the actual outlet water
temperature of the heater. It is
designated by the code (tout).
Percentage of firing rate is a number, in
percent, that is related to the input
BTU’s of the unit. For instance a 50%
signal equals approximately a 500,000
BTU gas input while a 75 % signal
equals approximately a 750,000 BTU
gas input and so on.
Setpoint is the desired outlet water
temperature that is to be maintained by
the boiler when operating in automatic
mode
When set to automatic mode the
temperature controller receives and
processes inputs from temperature
sensor(s) located externally or on the
unit. The controller uses these inputs to
automatically decrease or increase the
firing rate to match the load.
In manual mode the upper display
shows OFF and the controller no longer
automatically controls the firing rate of
the boiler. It is up to the operator who
put it into manual mode to control the
outlet temperature and firing rate.
