Exporting analysis data
The data export analyses included with the VISCPRO
®
software provide
a convenient method for outputting data to laboratory collection systems
or to an ASCII file.
There are two different data export analyses. For step-by-step instruc-
tions on exporting data from the VISCPRO
®
database, consult the
Chapter for the individual analysis:
Error Data Export—(export of error information)
MRV Data Export—(export of sample information)
Once the data has been exported, it can be manipulated using database/
spreadsheet software packages such as Excel
®
, Access
®
or Quattro Pro
®
.
These packages provide additional tools for configuration of report data
for such functions as:
Statistical Process Control
Long-term Monitoring of Daily Calibration Standards
Exporting time and temperature data
For the CMRV Yield Stress and Viscosity test results to be valid, tem-
perature control during the profile run must be accurate within the
specified tolerance.
To verify temperature control, the VISCPRO
®
software regularly samples
and stores data from the CMRV temperature probe throughout the profile
run. Data from each profile run is stored to a unique filename with a
.TTD extension. The file is saved to the same directory as the VISCPRO
database file.
To export time and temperature data for a profile to a text filename of
your choosing:
Export procedure
1. Open an analysis that includes data from the desired profile run.
2. Right-click in the data window on any sample that is associated with
the desired profile. Then select Export Data from the popup window
options. A standard Windows Save As ... window will open.
3. Select the desired location and type the desired filename. Then click
OK.
For additional information about the export format for time/temperature
data from the associated .ttd file for the profile, see Exporting Time/
Temperature Profile Data in Chapter 11.
