Explanation of communication result
When any trouble has occurred, one of the following messages will be printed on the transmission report
and the journal report.

THE COVER WAS OPENED
•A transmission or reception error occurred. Try again or check the other
party.
•A document was jammed. Remove the jammed document {see page 50).
•The junk mail prohibitor of your unit rejected fax reception (see page 38).
•The document was not fed into the unit properly. Try again.
•The receiving unit was busy or ran out of recording paper. Try again.
•The recording paper was jammed. Clear the jammed paper (see
page 50).
•Your unit ran out of recording paper. Install a new roll (see page 6).
•The STOP button was pressed and the fax communication was
interrupted.
•Printer was overheated. Leave the unit as is, and allow it to cool down.
•The top cover was open. Close it and try again.
