REC/TIME

WEAK SIGNAL DISPLAY Feature

You may choose whether or not you want the VCR to display a solid
blue screen when the broadcast signal is very weak or nonexistent.

When “OFP is selected, a solid blue screen
appears whenever the signal is weak or
nonexistent. When “ON" is selected, the picture
is displayed regardless of the signal condition.

The picture can not always be seen clearly when
“ON” is selected.

Press ACTION twice

to exit.

NOTE

When the VCR is connected to a Combination
VCR which has a Blue Back feature, even if
the VCR Blue Back is set to “ON” on the VCR,

the screen will go to blue back.

VCR Lock Feature

When activated, this feature prohibits all operations

except for timer recording and tape eject. This
feature may be used to keep young children from
operating the D-VHS VCR.

VCR LOCK ACTIVATED

Hold down REC/riME

on the D-VHS VCR
without a cassette
inserted

for 7

seconds

during Power

On mode.

• “NO CASSETTE PLEASE INSERT A CASSETTE” is

displayed when REC/TIME is pressed. Please

disregard this warning and continue to hold down

REC/TIME for 7 seconds.

• If an invalid key is pressed when this feature is

activated, "HOLd" is displayed in the Multi Function
Display for 5 seconds.

• DTV Timer Recoding by the Set Top Box will not be

performed when D-VHS VCR is in VCR Lock mode.

To Cancel the VCR Lock feature,

Repeat above with or without a cassette inserted.

• VCR Lock mode is cancelled automatically

after about 24 hours as long as the clock is set.

• In digital playback mode, no indications appear

on-screen.

Warning Beeper Feature

When you select BEEPER ON, a short warning will sound each

time an invalid entry or incomplete operation is made.
