Connecting the antennas
CONNECTIONS
Both AM and FM indoor antennas are inclttded with this
unit. In general, these antennas should provide sufficient
signal strength.
Connect each antenna correctly to the designated
terminals.
Indoor FM
antenna
(included)
Ground {GND terminal)
For maximum safety and minimum
interference, connect the antenna GND
temiinal to it good earth ground. A good
earth ground is a metal stake driven into
moist earth.
■ Connecting the AM loop antenna

Set up the AM loop antenna, then connect it
to the terminals on this unit.
Press and hold the tab to insert the AM loop
antenna lead wires into the AM ANT and
GND terminals.
Orient the AM loop antenna for the best
reception.
Notes
• The AM loop antenna should be placed away from this unit.
• The AM loop antenna should always he connected, even if an
outdoor AM antenna is connected to this unit.
• A properly installed outdoor antemia provides clearer
reception than an indoor one. If you experience poor reception
quality, an outdoor antenna may improve the quality. Consult
the nearest authorized YAMAHA dealer or sendee center
about the outdoor antennas.
