Starting to Play
Step 1. Turning the power on
Turn on the POWER switch (i) located in the
upper left of the unit. The PARAMETER/
VALUE indicator the LED display on the
upper portion of the control panel, will light up.

Step 2. Adjusting the volume
Slide the MASTER VOLUME @ control to
about three-quarters of the way towards MAX.

step 3. Playing a melody
Try playing a melody. You will notice that the
same voice is heard over the entire keyboard.
• When you turn the keyboard on, voice 00
(Elec. Piano 1) is automatically selected.
(The selected voice’s number is indicated
on the PARAMETER/VALUE indicator.)
Note:
Up to 12 notes can be played at the same time when
rhythm accompaniments are not used simultaneously with
the Auto Bass Chord accompaniments. {Refer to Chapter
7.) When rhythm and Auto Bass Chord accompaniments
are used simultaneously up to 2 notes can be played at
the same time.
Step 4. Trying other voices
Your DSR-500 is preset with 80 voices (Bank A
Voices). (Refer to the upper right of the control
panel for the list of voices.) These voices are
easily selected using the 10-key DATA ENTRY
keypad ® in the VOICE SELECTOR section.
Schritt 3. Spielen einer Melodie
Spielen Sie eine Melodie. Sie werden bemer­
ken, daß die gleiche Stimme auf dem gesam­
ten Manual gehört wird.
• Beim Einschalten des Keyboards wird die
Stimme 00 (Elec. Piano 1) automatisch
angewählt. (Die Nummer der aktivierten
Stimme wird auf dem PARAMETER/
VALUE-Display angezeigt.)
3ème étape: Exécution d’une mélodie
Essayez d’exécuter une mélodie. Vous consta­
terez que la même voix se retrouve sur
l’ensemble du clavier.
• A la mise sous tension du clavier, la voix
00 (Elec. Piano 1) est choisie par défaut.
(Le numéro de la voix est fournie par l’indi­
cateur PARAMETER/VALUE.)

Hinweis:
Bis zu 12 Töne können gleichzeitig gespielt werden, wenn
Rhythmus-Begleitung nicht gleichzeitig mit Akkord-
Begleitautomatik verwendet wird (siehe Kapitel 7). Wenn
Rhythmus-Begleitung und Akkord-Begleitautomatik simul­
tan eingesetzt werden, können bis zu 2 Töne gleichzeitig
gespielt werden.
Schritt 4. Ausprobieren anderer
Stimmen
Im DSR-500 sind 80 Stimmen (Bank-A-
Stimmen) fest gespeichert. (Rechts über dem
Bedienfeld befindet sich eine Liste dieser
Stimmen.) Zur Anwahl dieser Stimmen dient
die Zehnertastatur ® der VOICE SELECTOR-
Sektion.
Rentarque:
Douze notes peuvent être jouées en même temps si les
accompagnements rythmiques et les aocompagnemenîs
de basse et d’accords automatiques ne sont pas
employés simultanément (Reportez-vous au Chapitre 7.)
Lorsque vous employez un rythme et les accompagne­
ments de basse et d'accords automatiques, te nombre de
notes simultanées est égal à deux.
4ème étape: Essayez de jouer
d’autres voix
Le DSR-500 comprend 80 voix enregistrées
(groupe A). (La liste des voix est inscrite à la
partie supérieure droite de l’instrument.) Ces
voix peuvent être choisies au moyen du cla­
vier numérique DATA ENTRY ® de la section
VOICE SELECTOR.
Paso 3. Toque una melodía
Pruebe a tocar una melodía. Notará que la
misma voz se escucha en todo el teclado.
• Al conectar el teclado, la voz 00 (Piano
elèe. 1) se selecciona automáticamente. (El
número de la voz seleccionada se indica
en el indicador PARAMETERA/ALUE.)
Nota:
Cuando los acompañamientos rítmicos no se utilizan si­
multáneamente con los acompañamientos de acorde y
bajo automático, pueden tocarse ai mismo tiempo hasta
12 notas (consulte el capitulo 7). Cuando los acompaña­
mientos rítmicos y de acorde y bajo automático se usan
simultáneamente, pueden focarse al mismo tiempo hasta
2 notas.
Paso 4. Pruebe otras voces
Su DSR-500 está equipado con 80 voces pre­
fijadas (Voces del banco A). (Consulte la lista
de las voces en la parte superior derecha del
panel de control.) Estas voces se seleccionan
fácilmente utilizando el teclado numérico DATA
ENTRY (1^, situado en la sección del VOICE
SELECTOR.
