Normal recording

Preparations:
® Press [c!)/l] to turn the unit on.
® The leader tape must be wound on beforehand. page 36)

To record in Dolby B NR;
Press [DOLBY NR] and check NR” is dis­
played.
Press [REV MODE] to select the reverse mode.
One side will record, then recording will stop
automatically.

then recording will stop automatically.

When discs are loaded
Press [DISCI]-[5] to select the disc to record, then press [■] to
stop the disc.
Press [• REC PAUSE] to put the deck into the
recording standby mode.
The playback indicators or “!>“ will start flashing.
if you select in step Q, the direction will automatically
change to when you press [• REC PAUSE].
Press [<] or [[>] to start recording.
>: To begin recording from the forward side.
<: To begin recording from the reverse side.
Press [i>] on the DVDA/ideo CD/CD changer.
When recording from DVDs and video CDs, start playing by the
menu operation.

To stop recording
Press [■] on the cassette deck.
The DVDA/ideo CD/CD changer does not stop.
Synchro recording
Ф Perform steps П-В above.
To change the tape direction, press [<1] or [I>3 on the cassette
deck then press [■].
(D Press [• REC PAUSE].
Ф Press [i>] on the DVDA/ideo CD/CD changer.
Recording begins automatically
To record programmed tracks
® Perform steps Q-Q above, and then press [DVD] on the remote
control.
® Press [PLAY MODE] to select “PRGM”.
® Press [◄], [►],
[V], [A] to select the track, and then [SELECT]
on the remote control. (Program the desired tracks.)
® Press [• REC PAUSE].
(D Press [O] or [>] to start recording.
(|) Press [>] on the DVO/Video CD/CD changer.
To display the tape counter while recording
Press [COUNTER DISPLAY].
The tape counter will be displayed for approximately 5 seconds.
