Each time you press this button; FM<—>AM
Press [TUNING MODE] to select “MANUAL".

to begin automatic memory presetting.
Press [TUNING (v or

)] momentarily to stop scrolling when
the displayed frequency approaches the desired frequency. Tap
[TUNING {v or

)] a few times until the desired frequency is
reached.
Hold down [SET].
Release your finger when the words “AUTO MEMORY” scroll
across the display.
If the above is not possible because radio signals are weak or
for some other reason (“ERROR" appears), do the following.

Preset the stations one at a time.
® Press prUNER/BANDl to select the desired band.
® Press [TUNING MODE] to select “MANUAL".

)] to select the desired preset channel.

When you preset a broadcast station to a channel that has already
been preset, the previous presetting will be erased. So if, for exam-
pie, FM frequencies are preset from channel 1 to 39 and then AM
frequencies are preset, the first AM frequency will be preset to chan
nel 21 (thus erasing the FM presetting to channel 21), the seconds
AM frequency will be preset to 22 (erasing FM 22), and so on.

About allocation settings
Each country allocates broadcast band according to their particular
needs.
This system can receive AM broadcasts allocated in 10 kHz steps.
To change the steps (9 kHz-«—»10 kHz)
© Press and hold [TUNER/BAND].
After a few seconds the display changes to a flashing display of
the current minimum frequency.
© Continue to hold [TUNER/BAND] down.
When the minimum frequency changes, release the button.
To return to the original steps, repeat the above steps.
