Initial settings

The screen illustrated in step 1 is displayed. Select "0” with the
joystick { A , ▼) and press SELECT to return to the initial set
tings screen.

Also refer to “Common procedures" on page 30.

•When * " l i , I r is selected, “Play", “Still” and other displays

as well as On-Screen Menu Icons will be displayed at a little
lower position than the factory setting. It is recommended to
choose this setting if the screen is only partially displayed.

Selecting FL display brightness

This is to select the brightness of the player’s FL display.

At the initial settings screen (on page 30)

Tilt the joystick (▲,

to select “5 FL Dis

play” and press SELECT.

1 Bright;

The FL display will always be bright. (Factory preset)

2 Dim:

The FL display will always be dimmed.

3 Dim During DVD/VCD Piay (Auto):

The FL display will be dimmed during playback of

DVDs and Video CDs.

Setting is finished and the initial settings screen is displayed.

For your reference:
• Even if “3 Dim During DVD/VCD Play (Auto)" is selected, the

display resumes brightness when a button for special play
such as SLOW/SEARCH and PAUSE is pressed.
