To perform the backup, first select a directory that the files will be copied to (by default
the folder path is the ApplicationInstallFolder\Data\Backup where Application InstallFolder
is the folder location of the application). Database files will always be backed up but
optionally the “Backup Data Files” can be chosen to also copy all of the data files in the
system (Note: data files take up a large amount of space so it is important to choose a
sizable hard drive for this operation). Once all the options are selected hit the Backup
button and the lower “Status” region will show progress until the process has completed.
To Restore from a backed up database and/or data files begin by browsing to the folder
location chosen for the backup. After a folder is selected, the “Database” list will be
updated with all databases it finds in the folder. Select the correct database from the list
then choose whether to restore the database, the data files or both. Complete the
process by clicking the Restore button. Progress will be shown in the lower “Status”
region prompting the user with successes or failures. After the restoring a database,
close the window and the application will automatically shut down and will need to be
restarted for changes to take affect.
