Working With the User List and User Login
The user list identifies all individuals who are authorized to access patient data.
The user list can hold up to 25 users. After the list reaches 25 users, you can add names
only if some names are set to inactive status. New names replace inactive names. If all 25
names are active, you receive a message that the user list is full.
Two levels of access can be assigned:
• User level
When the user login feature is enabled, all users on the user list have access to the
test directory and the scheduled patient list, including searching and editing
privileges.
• Administrator level
When the user login feature is enabled, only administrator-level users have access to
the administrative functions. For an outline of these functions, see menu tree in
Figure 49 on page 75.
To Enable or Disable User Login
1. Press the Menu key .
2. Choose System Settings > Device Administration.
If prompted to log in, enter an administrator-level user ID and password.
3. Choose User Login.
4. Follow the prompts to enable or disable user login.
To Change a Password
You can change a password in either of two ways:
• At any User Login screen, press Change Password.
Follow the prompts.
• Ask an administrator-level user to change the password.
