RESAWING
RESAWING is known as ripping a piece of woodthrough
its thickness. Do not attempt to resaw SOWED or
WARPED material.
NOTE; To RESAW a piece of wood wider than 3^3/8
inches, it will be necessary to remove the blade guard
andusethe Auxiliary Fence/Work Support. (See“WORK
HELPERS").
Clamp it to the table so that the workpiece will SLIDE
EASILY but not TILT or MOVE SIDEWAYS without
BINDING between the two Fences.
Do not clamp directly to the bottom edge of the table
because the “swiver of the clamp will not grip properly.
Place a small block of wood between the bottom edge of
thetadble andthe “C" clamp.
WARNING: Foryeur own safety
1. Do not "Back up” (reverse feeding) while resaw
ing because this could cause a kickback.
2. Make the first pass to a depth slightly more than
1/2 the width of the board. Keep the same face of
the board against the fence for the second pass.
3. Install Blade Guard immediately upon comple
tion of the resawing operation.
