Before mounting the saw on legs, a stand or a bench, the
Table Insert and Blade Squareness must be checked at
this time.
SNSTALLING HANDWHEELS
1. Line up FLAT SPOTS on shaft and Handwheel, push
Handwheel onto shaft. Install screw and lockwasher
to lock Handwheel on shaft.

TABLE INSERT
1. Insert should be flush with table top. Check as
shown. Loosen Hat head screw that holds Insert and
adjust the four set screws as necessary. Tighten flat
head screw. Do not tighten screw to the point where
it deflects the Insert.
2. To remove Insert.
A. Loosen Screw
B Lift insert from front end, and pull toward front of

3. To replace Insert.
A. Place Insert into insert opening in table and push
toward rear of saw to e ngage spring clip and until
keyslot in insert will drop over screw. Tighten

B. Do not tighten screw to the point where it will
deflect the Insert.

CHECKING BLADE SQUARENESS TO
TABLE
.... ....
IMPORTANT: BLADE must be SQUARE (SO«»} to
TABLE, in order to proceed with assembly.
1. Turn Elevation Handwheel clockwise until blade is up
as high as it will go.
2. Check for BLADE SQUARENESS. If blade is not
square to table, adjust it at this time.
NOTE: The combination square must be “true" - see
start of "Unpacking and Checking Contents" section
on page 6 for checking method.
Refer to "Blade Tilt, or Squareness of Blade to Table"
adjustment on page 39.
