5 Installing the peristaltic pump
■
Install pump tubings.
■
Connect aspirating capillaries for the regeneration solution and
the rinsing solution.
6 Installing the MSM-HC
■
Connect the MSM-HC capillary labeled with regenerant to the
outlet of the pump tubing for the regeneration solution.
■
Connect the MSM-HC capillary labeled with rinsing solution to
the outlet of the pump tubing for the rinsing solution.
■
Guide the two MSM-HC capillaries labeled with Waste reg. and
Waste rins., respectively, through an instrument's capillary feed-
through to the waste container and fix them there.
7 Connecting the instrument
■
Connect the instrument to the PC (see Chapter 3.20.1, page
60).
■
Connect instrument to mains supply (see Chapter 3.20.2, page
60).
8 Initial start-up
■
Switch on the PC and start MagIC Net.
■
Switch on and prepare the instrument.
■
Deaerate the high pressure pump.
■
Rinse the instrument without column(s).
9 Connecting the columns
■
Remove the 6.2744.040 coupling between the column inlet capil-
lary and the MSM-HC capillary labeled with in.
■
Connect guard column (optional) (see Chapter 3.21, page 61)
– Fasten the guard column to the end of the column inlet
capillary according to the specifications contained in the
leaflet accompanying the guard column.
– Rinse guard column.
