If the Self Test fails, then perform the following:
1. Press the ESC key.
2. Press the MENU key.
3. Press the Util key.
4. Press Preset.
5. Rerun the Self Test. See “Self Test” on page 45.
Note: If the unit still fails, return the unit
for service.
Battery Replacement
The batteries need to be replaced when fully charged
batteries provide less than 2 hours operation. Carefully
follow the instructions below to replace the batteries.
For models equipped with 700 mAh Nickel-Cadium
batteries (p/n 5A2230):
Note: Unit may contain six 700 mAh
Nickel-Cadium (NiCAD) batteries. Replace
these batteries with six Nickel-Metal Hydride
NiMH) (p/n 5B2230).
For models equipped with minimum 2000 mAh
Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries
(p/n 5B2230):
WARNING
Replace with ONLY Nickel-Metal
hydride (NiMH) rechargeable AA
batteries with a nominal voltage of 1.2V
and minimum capacity of 2000mAh. DO
NOT install any type of battery such as
alkaline or other type of secondary
(chargeable) batteries.
