Icon examples
Meaning
Active devices are shown in color.
Active means that the device has a counterpart device to which a connection could be
established via the interface and that it has been identified by the SCD.
Passive devices are displayed in grey.
Passive means that there is at present no connection to this device, either because it is
currently disconnected or because it could not be identified.
This is important at devices such as the safety light curtain SAFESHIELD that consists of sender
and receiver. Since the PC with the SCD can only be connected to a receiver or sender, the
corresponding device is always displayed passively.
The device to which the PC is connected can be recognized by the device icon with the PC.
Unknown devices or devices that are not identified are indicated by a question mark.
Font color
Meaning
Devices that are ready to operate
You are working in online mode. The connection to the device has been
established, the device was identified and is configured.
Devices that are not configured or at which a fault has occurred.
You are working in online mode. The connection to the device has been
established. However, a fault has occurred or the device is not configured.
Configuration
or
diagnostics
of the device is required.
Devices at which the SCD cannot determine the state (not connected, not
identified).
You are working in offline mode.
Configuration
of the device is required.
