DRIVE SHIELDS
The left and right side drive shields, in the open
position, rest in a hinge "pocket" to prevent them
from falling. To close drive shields, lift up on shield
to clear hinge pocket at (F), then lower shield and
secure with rubber latch.
GREASING THE WINDROWER
See "Recommended Lubricants" in this section for
recommended greases.
The following greasing points are marked on the
machine by decals showing a grease gun (A), and
grease interval (B) in hours of operation. Log your
hours of operation and use the "Maintenance
Checklist" provided to keep a record of scheduled
maintenance.
Procedure:
1. Wipe grease fitting with a clean cloth before greasing, to avoid injecting dirt and grit.
2. Inject grease through fitting with grease gun until grease overflows fitting, except where noted.
3. Leave excess grease on fitting to keep out dirt.
4. Replace any loose or broken fittings immediately.
5. If fitting will not take grease, remove and clean thoroughly. Also clean lubricant passageway. Replace
fitting if necessary.
10 Hours or Daily
1. Upper Roll Universal Shaft (C) - three fittings
2. Lower Roll Universal Shaft (D) - three fittings
25 Hours
1. Sickle Head (E) - one fitting
IMPORTANT: To prevent binding and/or
excessive wear caused by sickle pressing on
guards, do not over grease.
