About This Manual
Purpose
This manual provides detailed information about the ReNew™ and SMA
Upgrade Systems - from MTS Systems Corporation. This manual gives you the
necessary information for each system for maximum operating conditions and
efficiency. Each chapter has been designed to walk you through a section at a
time so you can use the ReNew or SMA System to its fullest advantage. The
information includes an overview of all the models available, installation,
operation, maintenance and repair, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Summary
This manual includes the following chapters.
Introduction—This section will give you a general description of the ReNew
and SMA Systems, their functions, and environmental specifications.
Installation— This section will review requirements for location and ventilation
of your model/system, connection to the supply, connection to protective earth,
and the connection diagrams.
Operation—This section provides a graphic of the manual handset control and
handset functions. A line drawing of the antirotational load cell mounting is
provided as well. Other areas such as travel limit switches and load cell mounting
are reviewed.
Maintenance—This section gives you a complete guide to the preventive
maintenance schedule for all Alliance frames. Additionally, a parts list is
provided for ReNew, ReNew SMA, and ReNew SMA - DA parts.
Troubleshooting Guide—This section helps you identify common mechanical
and electrical problems and provides quick solutions in troubleshooting your
ReNew test system.
Appendix—This section provides additional information about digital I/O
connections.
