The ReNew systems have an additional ground connection on the rear of the
enclosure. This must be connected to a low-impedance ground for proper EMC
performance.
It is also recommended that this lug be used to connect the frame to the ReNew
box. Use the supplied cable. Perform a continuity check between the load frame
and the ground conductor of the power cord before connection to the supply.
Connection diagrams
System power must be off while attaching cables, otherwise damage to
equipment may result.
Your system will be installed by an MTS representative. The intent of this section
is to describe to the user how the ReNew system is integrated with their existing
material testing machine. Be sure all cable connections are tight and double-
check your work before powering-up the system.
Emergency stop switch(es) must be used with these systems. A switch
must be located no farther than 1 meter (39 inches) from the test space.
Never disable emergency stop switches. Serious injury or death may result
The ReNew system will utilize the existing emergency stop (e-stop) switch on
the frame, if possible. If there is no existing switch, an e-stop switch and cable
will be provided. Refer to the following figure.
