2.2 Function
Air is heated inside the cooled incubator by means of large-area all-round heating. Humidifica-
tion is achieved by evaporating water from a tank at a set rate by means of a hot-air generator
on the rear side of the appliance. The sterile hot air is introduced into the interior above the
fan and mixed with the air current. Humidity is reduced by condensing on two Peltier cooling
modules on the rear side of the appliance. Ice that might build up due to dehumidification is
automatically defrosted in cycles.
