SM-2 Application:

The attached Ground wire MUST BE secured to a good
chassis ground. If necessary slit open the ring and spread it out as
a lug connector for larger bolts.

On some bikes, the 2-pin plug may not be wired with correct
polarity as shown above. If SM-2 does not flash, swap the female
pins of your bike’s socket to match the correct pin-out.
