The following conditions must be met for safe operation of the ENS 3000:

• When installing in small plastic tanks, the unit must be installed as near as

possible to the centre of the tank.

• If the fluid is contaminated, the unit must be installed at a point where the

fluid is turbulent (e.g. at the inlet/outlet)

• When installing in metallic rising pipes (bypass line) the sensor must be

mounted in the centre of the tube. The tube must have a concentric internal
diameter and we recommend that the internal diameter is 2.36 inch in order
to ensure correct operation.

• Any metallic objects (e.g. metallic pipes or built-in components) inside the

tank must be at least 2.36 inch away from the active zone of the sensor.
Otherwise they will be recognised as mounting devices and the
measurements will be distorted.

• When mounting in tanks, the distance between the sensor and the walls of

the tank must be at least 0.787 inch.

• To avoid any adverse effects on the measurements, which may be caused

by the material of the tank top, the active zone must be approx. 1.77 inch
below the top of the tank.

Additional installation suggestions which, from experience, reduce the effect of
electromagnetic interference:

• Make line connections as short as possible.

• Use screened lines.

• The cable screening must be fitted by qualified personnel subject to the

ambient conditions and with the aim of suppressing interference.

• Keep the unit well away from the electrical supply lines of power equipment, as

well as from any electrical or electronic equipment causing interference.
