16.2 HYDRAULIC POWER UNIT: TO MONITOR MINIMUM FLUID LEVEL
WITH ADVANCE WARNING AND MINIMUM TEMPERATURE
MONITORING
In this example application, an advance warning should be given when the fluid
level reaches 1.18 inch and tank refilling should be started. In addition, the
temperature of the hydraulic fluid should not drop below a minimum value. If,
for example, 68 °F is reached, a stop signal will be given. Furthermore the
temperature, in the form of a 4 .. 20 mA signal, should be made available to a
PLC card.
To achieve this as described in the example, the following settings must be
made in the ENS 3000 menu and the two switching points must be set as
follows:
