1. Functions of the ENS 3000
The unit has the following functions, depending on the model:
• Display of the actual fluid level in inch or cm (depending on version).
• Display of the actual temperature in °F or °C.
• Display of the lowest and peak value of the fluid level or temperature or of a
pre-set switching point.
• Switching of the switching outputs according to the fluid level or temperature
and the pre-set switching parameters.
• Analogue output.
• Menu for basic settings (adapting the ENS 3000 to the particular application).
• Two different types of programming enable.
2. Installation
The electronic level switch ENS 3000 should be fastened at the metal collar of
the adaptor using a mounting device which grips as much of the metal collar as
possible. Any device large enough to hold a metal collar of 0.866 inch diameter
can be used. We recommend a bulkhead coupling with an integral cutting ring.
In order to use the full measuring range the active zone of the probe must
extend down into the tank and must be clear of the tank walls.
If the active zone of the probe extends above the top edge of the metallic tank,
then the useable measuring zone of the ENS 3000 is reduced. The function is
not normally impaired.

fitting.
Warning:
The ENS 3000 electronic level switch is not suitable for operation at pressures
exceeding atmospheric pressure. However, pressures of up to 40 psi are
possible for up to 1 minute and will not damage the unit.
