General Maintenance
A. Wheel End Oil Level
Check
(250 Hour Intervals)
1. Position the vehicle on level ground, move the vehicle forward or
backward enough to ensure that the lower edge of the wheel end
(Figure 95, 1) fill/drain plug hole (2) is positioned horizontally (3).
2. Ground the carriage, place the travel select lever in (N) NEUTRAL,
move neutral lock lever to NEUTRAL LOCK position, engage the
parking brake switch and shut off the engine.
3. Clean the area around the wheel end fill/drain plug (Figure 95, 2).
Slowly remove the plug. Check the oil level.
4. Add Universal Tractor Fluid to bring the oil level up and even with
the plug hole (Figure 95, 2). See the above chart for approved flu-
ids.
5. Clean and re-install the wheel end fill/drain plug (Figure 95, 2).
