2 Server Setup
2.1 Verify Package Contents
The Printgroove POD STARTER KIT should include the following items:

Ownership Certificate
- Software Security Key (dongle)
- Printgroove POD Queue Quick Install Guide (this manual)
- Printgroove POD Serve Quick Start Guide
- Printgroove POD Guide Quick Start Guide
- System DVD: this DVD contains the Operating System and all three Print-
groove POD server applications
- Companion CD: this CD contains all three client applications, the Print-
groove POD Driver and all User Documentation
Verify that all components are included. If anything is missing, please contact
your KONICA MINOLTA sale's representative.
Once you have located each of these components, you may set-up your
Printgroove POD hardware.
2.2 Setup Printgroove POD Hardware
All Printgroove POD modules are delivered pre-installed on a server. Each
server is customized for the requirements of the reprographics department
for which it is created. When your server arrives, it needs to be set up for use.
Since each delivery is unique, the instructions for setting up the hardware de-
pend upon the module you receive. Regardless of the hardware configura-
tion, the same steps must be completed:

Place the server in a secure location. A USB security key must be in-
stalled at all times in order for Printgroove POD to function. Make sure
the server is placed so that the security key cannot be accidentally re-
moved in normal, daily operation.

Connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse to the server.

Connect the monitor and the server to an AC power source. It is strong-
ly recommended that the server be attached to an uninterruptable
power supply (UPS) in order to protect your data in the event of a pow-
er failure.
