SNMP Settings
Before Printgroove POD Queue can process jobs, it needs to locate printers.
This is done both automatically--by specifying an IP Address discovery
range--and manually, by adding single printers. Please read through this en-
tire section carefully then apply the steps that best suit the needs of your re-
prographics department.
4.3.1
Adding an SNMP Discovery Range
You may add up to ten exclusive Discovery Ranges. For best performance,
it is recommended that you add between 3-5 ranges. Additional ranges that
exceed this recommend may greatly reduce the performance of Printgroove
POD Queue.
1
From the File menu select Configuration --> Server Setup --> SNMP.
The SNMP Setup screen opens:.
2
Click the Add button. The Add SNMP Range screen opens.
3
Specify the Start and End ranges. The values of the first three octets in
both fields must be identical.
4
Specify the appropriate Subnet Mask for this network.
–
NOTE: The Subnet Mask is used in conjunction with the specified
Start and End ranges to determine the appropriate broadcast ad-
dress. This value must be set correctly for Broadcast-based printer
discovery.
