Place 10 or more sheets of blank paper on top of the test pattern to prevent it from becoming transpar-
ent.

Close the ADF or Original Cover.

Press the Start key.
The test pattern is scanned.

Repeat steps 2 through 9 two more times.
[Initialize Adjustment Value]
Clear the correction values of both [Maximum Density Adjustment] and [Gradation Adjustment], and return
them to the factory default value (0).

Press the Utility/Counter key ö [Administrator Settings] ö [System Settings] ö [Expert Adjustment]
ö [Gradation Adjustment].

Press [Initialization].

Select [Initialize], and press the Start key.
This starts resetting the correction value.
