7 Operating the VP-885
You can operate the VP-885 via any of the following methods:
•
Front panel buttons
•
RS-232
•
RS-485 serial commands transmitted by a touch screen system, PC, or
other serial controller
•
Ethernet
•
The Kramer RC-IR3 Infra-Red Remote Control Transmitter
7.1 Displaying the Configuration of the VP-885
For five seconds after being switched on, the model and software version is
displayed (see
Section 7.4.1
).
After the first five seconds, the 7-segment display

7.2 Switching Outputs to Inputs

Section 7.4.2
).
To switch a video/audio input to an output:
•
Press the desired OUTPUT button, followed by the desired INPUT
button.
To connect a video/audio input to all outputs:
•
Press the ALL button followed by the INPUT button corresponding to
the input that is to be routed to all the outputs
To disconnect a video/audio input from a specific output:
•
Press the desired OUTPUT button followed by the OFF button.
