Connecting a Computer Display
You can connect a computer display (monitor) either directly to your computer or via the optional docking station.
To connect a computer display

The monitor port on your computer is not accessible when the computer is attached to the docking station.
The HDMI output port on your computer and the DVI-D port on the docking station are functional only when your computer is in SPEED mode.
If you connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI output port on your computer or a display cable to the DVI-D port on the docking station when your computer
is in STAMINA mode, a confirmation window appears. Follow the on-screen instructions to change the performance mode to SPEED mode.
1 If necessary, plug one end of the display's power cord (1) into your display, and the other end into an AC outlet.
