Setting Up a Port Trunk
This section contains the following procedures for working with port trunks:

Creating a Port
Trunk
This procedure explains how to create a port trunk.
Caution
Do not connect the cables to the ports on the switches until after you
have configured and enabled the trunk with the management
software. Connecting the cables before configuring the software
creates a loop in your network topology, which can result in
broadcast storms and poor network performance.
To create and enable a port trunk, perform the following procedure:
1. From the Main Menu, type A to select Advanced Switch
Configuration.
The Advanced Switch Configuration Menu is shown in Figure 21.

2. From the Advanced Switch Configuration Menu, type T to select Trunk
Configuration.
