3. A dialog box appears. In the
Enter New Password
field, type in the
new password and press Enter. (For security, the password does not
appear on the screen.)
NOTE
To leave the dialog without entering a password, press the Esc
key at any time.
4. In the
Confirm New Password
field, type the password again. Then
press Enter.
5. Use the right-arrow or left-arrow key to select the Exit menu.
Choose
Exit and Save Changes
from the list of exit options, then press
Enter. A dialog appears and asks you to confirm your decision. Choose
Yes
and press Enter. The server then reboots.
Changing the System Date and Time
To change the server date and time:
1. Use the right-arrow or left-arrow key to select
Main
from the Setup menu.
As soon as you do this, the main setup screen appears.
2. Use the down-arrow key to move to the
System Time
field. Type in the
system time and press Enter.
3. In the next field,
System Date
, enter the system date and press Enter.
4. Use the right-arrow or left-arrow key to select the Exit menu.
Choose
Exit and Save Changes
from the list of exit options, then press
Enter. A dialog appears and asks you to confirm your decision. Choose
Yes
and press Enter. The server then reboots.
Configuring the HP NetServer for a Remote Console
You may plan to access the HP NetServer remotely with a terminal emulation
program. If so, set one of the communications ports for remote access:
1. Use the right-arrow or left-arrow key to select
Console
from the Setup
menu. As soon as you do this, the Console screen appears.
2. Use the down-arrow key to move to the
Com Port Address
field. Use
the plus (+) and (-) keys to display the list of options from this field, and
choose either
motherboard COM A
or
motherboard COM B
