Unavailable—An Cache Module has not been configured.

Unknown—The Storage Agents cannot determine the status of the Cache Module. You
may need to upgrade the Storage Agents.

Bad Data—Indicates the possibility of data loss due to a battery problem when the system
was powered on. The following values are valid:

Possible—At power-on, the battery pack was not sufficiently charged. Because the battery
pack did not retain sufficient charge when the system resumed power, the Cache Module
has not retained any data that may have been stored in the cache. If no data was in the
cache, no data was lost. Several situations may have caused this condition:

If the system was without power for eight days, and the battery pack was on (the
battery pack activates only if the system loses power unexpectedly), any data that
may have been stored was lost.

There may be a problem with the battery pack. See the Battery Status monitored item
for more information.

The Cache Module board has been replaced with a new board that has a discharged
battery pack. In this case, no data is lost. Posted reads and writes are automatically
enabled when the battery pack reaches full charge.

None—No data loss occurred. At power up, the battery pack was properly charged.

Unknown—The Storage Agents do not recognize the status. You may need to update
your software.

Backup Power Status—Displays the status of the backup power source on the Cache Module.
The backup power source can recharge only when the system is powered on. Backup power
sources include batteries and capacitors.

OK—The backup power source is fully charged.

Failed, Replace Battery—The array controller has one or more array accelerator batteries
that are failed. Cache Module operations such as Battery Backed Write Cache, Expansion,
Extension, and Migration are temporarily suspended until the batteries are replaced.

Recharging—The array controller has one or more cache module backup power sources
that are recharging. Cache Module operations such as Battery/Capacitor Backed Write
Cache, Expansion, Extension, and Migration are temporarily suspended until the backup
power source is fully charged. Cache Module operations will automatically resume when
charging is complete.

Degraded—The battery pack is still operating, but one of the batteries in the pack has
failed to recharge properly. Your board should be serviced as soon as possible.

Not Present—A backup power source is not present. (Some controllers do not have a
battery/capacitor-backed cache).

Failed, Replace Capacitor—The capacitor is below the sufficient voltage level and has
not recharged in 10 minutes. Your Cache Module board needs to be serviced. Cache
Module operations such as Capacitor Backed Write Cache, Expansion, Extension, and
Migration are temporarily suspended until the capacitor is replaced.

Unknown—The Storage Agents do not recognize the backup power status. You may
need to update your software.
