NOTE: If no CV is set, the Make Volume operation does not create a volume in the VDEV. In this
case, a message appears and the Volume Management pane appears.

Use this pane to assign CU and LDEV numbers to the custom volumes to be created. The top area is the
CV setting information area and shows detailed information about the custom volumes to be initialized.
The bottom area is the LDEV number setting area and is used to set the CU and LDEV numbers for the
custom volume to be initialized.
5. In the CV setting information area, select one or more custom volumes.
6. In the Select CU No. list, select a CU number.
7. If you selected multiple custom volumes, select an interval from the Interval list. This value specifies the
interval between the LDEV numbers that need to be assigned to the new volumes. The default value is
0. When you select 0, consecutive LDEV numbers are assigned. The value you specify as the interval
between LDEV numbers counts only the available LDEV numbers.
8. In the LDEV number setting area, select an LDEV number by clicking the appropriate white box. For
example, to select an LDEV number of 97, click the +90/+7 box as shown in Figure 46 .
